Bucktown and Wicker Park-
Bucktown is a neighborhood located in the Logan Square community. Its boundaries are the Chicago River to the east, Western Avenue to the west, and Fullerton Avenue to the north. Bucktown is directly north of Wicker Park.
Bucktown has become one of the hottest real estate markets with steadily rising home prices. A diverse, dynamic neighborhood and no shortage of entertainment. With many popular restaurants, hip boutiques, and trendy nightclubs and bars, the area appeals to young professionals. The streets of Bucktown are lively and filled with activity most evenings and weekends. Also known as a area for artists and art lovers, the area contains a high concentration of artists and art festivals. Transportation wise, the "El" is conveniently located on both North Damen and Milwaukee Avenues and CTA busses are on most major streets. Its architecture is late 19th century, with rehabbing and new development occuring everywhere.
A related neighborhood of Bucktown is Wicker Park. The boundaries of the two are hazy, and vary by opinion. Wicker Park is most commonly assumed to be North Avenue, Damen Avenue, and Milwaukee Avenue. Just like Bucktown, Wicker Park is an artistic area, featuring many galleries and working artists. Trendy bars, vintage clothing shops, and furniture stores line the streets of Wicker Park. Wicker Park's proximity to the Loop, along with it's collection of shops and single professional and young family residents, has resulted in an appreciable increase in the area's housing costs.
